Pedestrian safety is an enormous priority for the Town of Davidson. Our core values state:
- Citizens need to move easily throughout the town and region, so government will provide a variety of options, such as sidewalks, bike paths, greenways, connected streets, and transit.
- Davidson must be a safe place to live, work, and raise a family, so the town will work in partnership with the community to protect lives.
We work hard to be a pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly community. As we continue our discussions on the creation of the FY2016-2017 budget, we will examine what pedestrian facilities to continue to fund and see what other options are available to us. We will seek direction from the Davidson Board of Commissioners during this time on how they wish us to proceed with our pedestrian safety efforts. |
