| Summary: | The town has owned 17+ acres on Beaty Street since 1987. In 1996 the town requested development proposals for the property, but the project didn’t materialize. Adjoining properties 832 Beaty Street and 825 Shearer Street were acquired in 2006. In several small area plans the parcels are shown as a neighborhood with townhomes, a park, and some mixed-use commercial buildings along the northernmost edge of the property. With that in mind, this RFP requests development proposals for a new neighborhood that complies with the ordinance, is walkable, and includes park space. |
