SUMMARY:  
At its March 13, 2018 meeting, the Board of Commissioners voted to create a task force to develop the town-owned land on Beaty Street as a park. On April 10, the Board of Commissioners formally adopted a resolution to begin the conceptual plan process for the park at Beaty Street, seeking applicants for a citizen task force, and approving a charge for the task force. The Board of Commissioners appointed members to the task force at its May 8 meeting. The task force has been meeting at least twice a month since May. The Task Force will provide the initial check-in with the Board of Commissioners on the task force's efforts. Specific questions to be addressed include: clarification of the resolution and funding to study potential removal of the dam versus retaining the pond amenity and repair of the dam.
