Pedestrian safety is an enormous priority for the Town of Davidson. Our core values state:
- Citizens need to move easily throughout the town and region, so government will provide a variety of options, such as sidewalks, bike paths, greenways, connected streets, and transit.
- Davidson must be a safe place to live, work, and raise a family, so the town will work in partnership with the community to protect lives.
We work hard to be a pedestrian- and bicycle-friendly community. Not only do we focus on pedestrian safety from an infrastructure perspective on an ongoing basis, but we also focus on enforcement and education. In light of recent conversations related to the speed limit on Davidson-Concord Road and in an effort to enhance pedestrian safety all over town, the Davidson Police Department has teamed up with the Public Information Officer to present information on education and enforcement plans. |
